Hello Sisters,
It is me.... we had a bad day today, and I will tell you why. I went to the Dr. Tuesday afternoon, and he told me he saw a sac in the ultrasound! Well my heart leaped out of my chest, because I examined what I passed and it looked like a 6 week baby to me. The RN told me that I was only weeks 2 days at the moment and what I brought in was too big to be my baby. So now they do a Beta and the numbers had gone up a bit since the last test. Today's repeat went down from 3400 to 1050, so the little hope that I had been given was diminished. I was told to stay on my meds until my next Beta on Monday, the bleeding stopped on Tuesday and now I am in limbo, praying to God for his wonderful miracles and next minute I am crying for my lost babies.
Then I hear of our family friend who was pregnant and went into pre-term labor at 22 weeks she made it to 23 weeks and had a baby girl, but the prognosis is very dim right now the poor baby has an infection and she is not gaining weight. So I have to pull my self up, I did not have to look into the eyes of my baby and then lose it as she did. I have to look for the blessing that God has provided me along this journey.
I will be checking the postings but I need to try to get my self together.
Thank you all for the caring words and the understanding, I live through your joy and love.
I love you all and I pray for success for us all.
God Bless
Toni

Toni - I am so sorry to hear about your news. You are in my thoughts and I hope you will continue your journey however you feel is the right way to go.
I just had a question for you ladies. So I am in the 2ww and I had sore breasts, but that went away and I have been having night sweats for the past 5 nights. I had my transfer 5/11 and have been on progesterone shots. Have any of you ladies that have had positive pregnancies experienced these symptoms or I am just in store for a BFN? I am trying to stay positive as this is probably our last hope. Any words of wisdom/advise would be great.

Toni – I’m so sorry for your loss. I know this is heartbreaking for you and I just hope you and your husband will continue to be positive as you consider adoption. Please keep writing us – it is all our shared experiences that make us stronger and able to deal with the bumps along the way as we try to become parents.

Toni - No words can express the sadness I feel for your situation. It all just changed so suddenly. I'm hoping that whatever is meant for you, will bring you the most happiness. Please take time to heal from this. You are a strong person, thats for sure. But even the strongest need to allow healing to begin.. I will be thinking of you.
Qgirl - Congrats on the 1st ultrasound. Keep us posted. And fingers crossed that everything will go smoothly.
jdglak & Qgirl - Progesterone shots SUCK!!!!! I tried everything to allow my body to adjust to them. Nothing worked. So with this time around, My Dr. & I had already decided that suppositories were the way to go. My knots were 4inches in diameter. HUGE.. So I was happy for the insertion this morning. LOL.. So far it is a little messy, but I guess my tru opinion will come out after a few days of using them.
Babies4us - Im wishing you much luck, just try to think positive (although hard) . Im hoping the best for you. Remember one day at a time. (I will need someone to tell me this exact same thing next week)
I had my Dr. appt. yesterday and Im still on schedule for Saturday. I will find out the time tomorrow. Im so very nervous. Im trying to stay calm. But Im so frekaing scared it wont work. Its all because this is the last try. So Friday I will do some much needed soul searchng and find that inner strength to get me through. And then hopefully I will be prepared mentally on Saturday, if not the Valium will come in handy. I did however eat my very first Pineapple Core last night. It wasn't bad at all. Pineapple is my favorite fruit, so I didn't mind trying the part that we all throw away. Honestly it wasnt bad. It wasnt very hard, so Im sure thats what made it ok for me. Well I will keep you guys posted with everything. And a reminder, I will be taking the week off next week, so I will be on the forum much more often in the next 2 weeks. Take care everyone, and much much much Baby Dust to all..
Much Hope, Love, & Support

good Morning ladies it is another rainy day here in CT. Kind of puts you in a low, depressing mood.
Toni, I don't think words can explain what you are going through, I am thinking about you and admire your strength. We are with you and here for you.
I had my second Lupron shot last thursday, I meet with my RE on Friday to plan our cycle, good chance we will be starting Lupron daily in two weeks, I will know for sure on Friday. I am nervous going into this one, my thoughts are all over the place, will I be a thinking to much into it this time, looking for the signs and symptoms, will I bleed, will our embies grow. I am going to try to do everything the same as we did in October, go to acupuncture twice a week, eat healthy, no drinking, I am even going to add yoga into the mix this time. I am in better shape this time, I have lost 10 pounds since Jan, which was mainly all the weight I put on from the treatment and preg, I would love to be down another 5 by the time I start, it is possible, just need to keep going to boot camp and eat right. NO Sweets, i am a sucker for sweets!!! Well ladies I will keep you posted!!
To those in the 2ww, stay sane and to those with BFP congrats, and those who have BFN's I have been there and know how you feel, stay strong and believe!!!!

Dearest Toni,
I am so very sorry to see your news. I was so excited for you and just can't believe that this happened to you again. I am glad you have a strong faith as I know that will help to see you through the decisions that lie ahead. (read Jerimiah 29: 11-13) I understand being torn about your remaining embies. If you change your mind and decide to try again with them, let's brainstorm about some possible things first. If you decide to give them to another couple and pursue adoption then I hope things go smoothly for you. I know that somehow, someway the baby you are meant to have forever will find its way to you. Keep us posted as I will be thinking about you. God bless.

Hello Sisters,
Sorry to bring bad news, last night while laying downing and watching movies I lost my Baby at 6w1d. I reached over to get my cup and felt some cramping, it happened so fast I did not know what to do, but this is the 2nd time, I passed my little baby and I could see it. This morning I feel no sore breast, no naseua, and very empty.
I promised DH that this would be the last time. I have 2 more embies and I am torn, we do not have the funds for this, and I am not working.
Looks like I am going to donate them for adoption, and accept Gods will. I guess I was meant to adopt. I am thankful God has given me the strength that I asked him for, because I was able to go through this and not breakdown. I am waiting for Dr. to call me for my appointment to confirm.
Love Toni.

Hello QGirl - Good Luck and Best wishes for your ongoing Healthy pregnancy. I appreciate your reply and advice for the soreness. It is now somewhat better after doing a massage with Heated towel pad.
After reading about benefits of Pineapple, I would also like to add few old wives tale from India.
In India, we are advised not to EAT Papaya, Eggplant, Hot Spices found in Curry - as these are warm kind of produce and can be the cause of miscarriage.
And we are advised to take - Buttermilk, Yogurt, Fennel seeds, Cardamom in moderation as they prevent inflammation in the body.
And Best wishes to everybody on this forum with their Pregnancy or IVF cycle.
Regards.

jdglak – I was just switched last week from IM progesterone to the vaginal gel (Crinone) after my first US when they observed a heartbeat. I had been doing the IM shots for almost a month and really had a rough time with them. We rotated sites, massaged, and used the heating pad, but nothing really seemed to help. I was very uncomfortable at night and at work had to tell folks I was having back problems to explain my slow motion moving and sitting! So really nothing seemed to help me but others have also said that walking around for while after the shot helps to disperse the injection quicker through the muscle. I did mine at night so really did not try this approach. If it gets worse I would discuss the possibility of the gel with your RE. There is some controversy as to whether this is as effective as the IM injection, but the studies I’ve pulled show they both work (I’m a clinical pharmacist and always look for evidence so that explains me pulling studies!). I hope you find a solution!
tmb- good to see you back – I hope you guys keep your spirits up through all of this and don’t give up!
Welcome babytoro! You will find a good support group here so keep reading and posting.
Babies4Us – I’ll keep my fingers and toes crossed for you after your recent transfer!
I know several of you have transfers coming up so I wish you the best this week! Hope everyone else who has had good news lately continues on that path!

amyb and toni-Congratulations on your growing little ones! I am so happy for you!
DLmiracle-That is great about the 12 follicles! I will be thinking of you. Keep the faith!
Welcome to the new mommy to be's on this site!
As for me, I haven't been on in a couple weeks due to recovering from my miscarriage. I would have been 11 weeks today, but my DL and I are keeping the faith and feel positive about our next pregnancy having a healthy baby. Our Rx is doing a Karyo type chromosome study on the prior fetus that never had a heartbeat to find out what was the cause. Has anyone had that?

Hello Ladies,
This is my first post and want some advice/help with the Soreness/Knot due to Progesterone shot. I am taking POI shots since last 9 days and this morning noticed that hard lump/knot has formed on the left side. Both sides were sore from last 3-4 days, but now it is really hurting and want to know what can be done. I do massage with Heated pad after the shot for 10 mins. I talked with the On call Doctor for my RE and he has advised that POI can be skipped for 1 night and wait for my RE to take a look at it. Please advise what can be done to relieve the soreness/pain.
Me - 38, DH - 41. 3 IUI - No Success.
1st IVF : D5 ET on 05/08. 2 Embryos Transferred. - 1st with a Grade of BBB and 2nd with a grade of DBB.

Hey ladies, just need a little moral support from you all!! I had my Day 5 transfer on Wednesday the 11th, they transferred 2 blastocysts!! I feel really good about this cycle (#3). Sometimes I just feel like what if it doesn't work again. I think this will be our last time and our last hope, so I really am trying to stay positive and eat lots of pineapple, haha. I haven't really had any cramping this time so I hope that everything is attaching happily.
Good luck to all that are cycling. Also to all those that are pregnant to have healthy pregnancies. Hope everyone else is doing well!

Try to relax as much as you can. I wish you all the best in you journey. Many blessings to you.
As for me, I went for my ultrasound this morning (started my meds this past tuesday) and i have 12 follicles, 6 on each side. Very exciting!!!

Hello everybody,
Hope I am not invading anybodies space. Today is the first time I am in this. I am going to start my first IVF treatment June 3. I am kind of nervous about all of this. I wont even take Tylenol for a headache I just deal with it. Well I am 30 years old, married for almost 7 years, and desperate to have a kid. I have been trying since the day I got married. I just cant wait to see my hubby carrying baby that would be so wonderful to see being that he has a baby face himself. Well I imagine we all want that. Any advice?

Hello Sisters,
Qgirl-I take the Crinone and I rather take it than the shots. I take it at the exact same time each am and pm, I lay down for 1/2 an hour afterward just to allow as much to stay in as possible, but boy is it messy. TMI- last week I was sitting up and I sneezed hard I felt something strange trying to make it out, then I found a grey lump of stuff YUCK!!!! I had an appointment so I told the nurse and she informed me it was the residue from the gel. do not worry and use pantyliners.
DLMircle - I glad I was able to reach you, and we are all here for each other.
I hope everyone is having a good day, to start a great weekend, I went in for my 2nd Beta today and I jumped from 446 to 3051....... all I could say to my RN was WOW, are you sure I only have one??? I am so happy and enjoying each day as it comes, I am resting up a lot because of my past m/c 's 1 from my last IVF and then 2 m/c from pregnancies that occurred on my own.
I am in shock and enjoying being pregnant, today the nurse was talking about me to the clerk and she says "she is pregnant."... I wanted to look around to see who she was talking about. IT WAS ME!!!!!
I want you all to remember never give up, never feel like you do not deserve this moment , we all do. God will provide a way for us to get there.
How do you guys feel about transvaginal ultrasound, I am not wanting to do anymore of them, I am afraid of any issues happening.
Kisses to everyone else and waiting to hear more great news.
Love
Toni.

Just had my 1st US and it looks like there was a heartbeat – 122! Still in the gray zone until my 2nd one on the 23rd when they confirm continued growth, but I’m just taking it a step at a time.
Toni & Amyb – I’m so glad to hear the betas are progressing along nicely. Congrats!
PatientlyWaiting – I agree that the waits between US visits are just as trying as the 2ww! Glad to hear things look good for you at 8 weeks! Hope I have the same news on the 23rd!
Praying4AMiracle, Ind Girl, & DLMIRACLE – good luck with your upcoming transfers. I agree that relaxing is the best prescription. I did eat pineapple (can’t hurt right?) and also went with acupuncture since my RE recommended it. I also cut back significantly on my exercise. I’m a runner so this was very difficult. I’m still continuing with all these measures until I get through at least a few more weeks and feel more relaxed about the progression of the pregnancy.
btobe - 16weeks - yeah! We can all learn from your experiences since your further along!
My RE is switching me from shots to Crinone gel today. My rear end absolutely cannot take anymore. It’s been very painful and I’ve had to tell folks at work I have back problems so they don’t wonder why I move so slowly and have trouble sitting/standing. Anyone else use Cronone?
Best to all of you!

DLMiracle - 2ww will be kind of together, so maybe we can celebrate great news together.
Amyb - YAY!!!! Great news on the your numbers. Keep doing what you are doing. Im so happy for you.. Prayers will continue..
Toni - Thanks for your encouraging words. The pineapple, it may be an ole' wives tale, may not. Either way, It is something to give me hope, so Im eating tropical.. LOL...
As for me, I am going to relax my mind this weekend. Hoping the sun is not stingy. I want to relax with my ipod and a lawn chair. I had thought about accupuncture, but didn't do it, and so I figure I can relax by doing these type things this weekend, and mentally prepare myself for next weekends transfer.
Much Hope, Love, & Support

Good morning everyone. Congratulations to all the BFP's and I am very excited for all of my sisiters who are getting ready to start their IVF cycles. It is such an exciting, yet stressful time. Make sure that you are taking it easy the entire cycle time, and not just the 2WW. It is so important that your body be ready physically and mentally for your embies!!
AFM: I am almost 16 weeks along, and feeling pretty good. Still in shock that this is really happening for us!! Hopefully in a few weeks I can have another ultrasound and find out what we are having.

Hello everyone,
Sorry I have been back I was really enjoying my Birthday and reflecting on my news. I go back on Friday for Beta #2 after 5 days I am curious to see where I am at.
The pineapple I do not know if it is a old wives tale but during both my transfers I did eat 2 slices n the am and 2 in the pm as a snack, with the core. I got a BFP both times. I also believe that we are so emotionally drained during the cycles that it helps to go on the bed rest for 3-5 days, where you are only sleeping eating and relaxing. I feel that allows time to help your embies implant.
I am waiting to read more good news from all my sisters. And please please never lose faith, never give up. We are really meant to love and be loved, and God will never let us down.
Love Toni

Hello and thanks again for all the well wishes. My beta made it up to 427 today, more than double from 2 days ago. Very good news. Get to go to progesterone 2x per week starting next week, that will be so nice, my hips are getting pretty sore. So hard to believe after 3 and a half years and never one positive test, that this finally could be a reality.
Good luck to all of you cycling, and yay for all of you already doing ultrasounds on little jellybeans, or bigger!

Hello everyone! Second ultra sound today and everything is moving along! Am now 8w5d. Thinking the time between ultra sounds is every bit as hard as the 2 week wait. And I go into each appointment very nervous... I'm still in a bit of denial that after 3 1/2 years this could be possible! Just have to keep breathing!
From what I've read about Pineapple it's the core that contains Bromelain, which is what is thought to aid in implantation. Not sure if this is a wives tail, but any little thing can help!
Congrats to all BFP's!
Keeping prayers for all that are cycling and trying!
(hugs to all)

Hello everyone. Sorry I went M.I.A. I took some down time while on BCP. Now I have started my meds, and preparing for my transfer on the 21st. I am currently taking estrace, climara patches, and baby aspirin. I start progesterone 3-4 days prior to transfer. I am anxious to do this. It will be our last attempt at a BFP... I sure hope it works out. I have decided to take the week after transfer off from work. I am going to mandate 4 days of nothing for myself. I feel that its "all in" on this try. It may seem overboard, but my heart tells me to do what I can to help the situation. So here's HOPING!!!!!!!
DLMiracle, thanks for asking about me. I'm doing well. Just taking one day at a time. Getting excited, but nervous all at once.
Amyb - when I read of your BFP. I teared up. I get excited for everyone, but maybe it's my feelings today. I am hoping for the best for you. (and everyone else of course)
It seems that May is going to be a busy one. Hopefully with lots of BFP. That would be great.
I am excited to hear of all the BFP. It is nice to get on here and read of these things... Much luck & well wishes for you all.
The PINEAPPLE. I have read on here that it is supposed to thicken your lining. Which is why I am going to eat tons. But I read someone say that its the core....
Anyone care to comment on this, so that we are clear of it.
Have a great day everyone.. The sun is shining here, and mid 80's.... Lake weather if you ask me. I'm SOOOOO ready!!!!!
Much Hope, Love, & Support

Wow congrats Toni, that is a really strong number! I had my second beta yesterday, 15dp3dt, and it was 165. So, not quite doubled from last time but they said to remain "cautiously optimistic." I have another blood draw tomorrow. As my DH says, "we are still in the game."
My husband is also really reserved about this, my poor mom is so excited and my husband keeps trying to settle her down. I think he is just protecting himself in case this does not stick. I am somewhere in between. The spotting stopped and the cramping is minimal and intermittent so that has made me feel better. We'll see what tomorrow brings.
As always good luck to everyone!

Congratulations Toni!! That’s wonderful news! Now just waiting to hear good news from Amyb. I posted my 2 positive beta results at the end of April and now I’m just waiting for the next milestone - the first US on Thursday. For some reason I’m more nervous about this than I was the beta tests. It helps having support from all the moms to be out there.
Best to everyone cycling and I’m hoping to hear more good news from others and from my US on Thursday!

Sorry I dont check in very much I read the posts but after work most of the time I am just too exhausted to even type LOL but i certainly could not let the news from one of my long time sisters (Toni) go unnoticed. I am so excited for you awesome news. How many days post transfer are you? My first beta came in at almost 900 for 14dp3dt. So basically like 17dpo. I was sure I had multiples in there LOL but one just really healthy little girl. I heard girls have higher betas dont know how true it is but held true for us.

HELLO Sisters.
Well we got the news and I will be having a fantasic birthday tommorow, my Beta was 426!!!!!!!!!!!!
I go back on the 13th for the 2nd Beta and I am at a loss for words. I try not to think too far ahead and worry about the next step. I just want to enjoy the news and I will pray for continued blessings from GOD.
I wonder why the Beta is so high because we only transfered 1 snow baby. Maybe she/he split in two who knows, since we used DE we may have twins in the family. I am just overjoyed and I am beside myself.
Love and Blessings to everyone of you.

Thanks everyone for your well wishes. And thanks Toni, for the advice about taking the focus off the future and enjoying the experience, it is very good advice. I had a little cramping and spotting today but have been warned that could happen and is not necessarily a bad thing. I have just been taking it extra easy and will mention it to the doc. tomorrow when I do my next blood test. Happy Mothers Day to mothers and future mothers!

My sister-in law just started her 2ww today. I have seen people talk about eating pineapple. What does that do during the 2 ww?
Congrats to all the BFP and good luck to everyone in their 2ww.

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY MY SISTERS.
YEAHHHHH YIPPY amyb. Enjoy each moment and do not focus on the next step so much that you miss the joy that you are feeling now.
I am home being pampered and I am loving it, DH is working out his fears, and making me feel so nice.
I go in at 9:45am for my BETA. As WannabeMommy says PUPO I am feeling such pressure and the girls are not at all friendly to even cold air. I have laid it all at God's feet and will let you all know as soon as I do.
Enjoy your Sunday everyone I remembered you all in prayer today.
Blessings
Love Toni
