Hello Sisters,
Sorry to bring bad news, last night while laying downing and watching movies I lost my Baby at 6w1d. I reached over to get my cup and felt some cramping, it happened so fast I did not know what to do, but this is the 2nd time, I passed my little baby and I could see it. This morning I feel no sore breast, no naseua, and very empty.
I promised DH that this would be the last time. I have 2 more embies and I am torn, we do not have the funds for this, and I am not working.
Looks like I am going to donate them for adoption, and accept Gods will. I guess I was meant to adopt. I am thankful God has given me the strength that I asked him for, because I was able to go through this and not breakdown. I am waiting for Dr. to call me for my appointment to confirm.
Love Toni.

Hello QGirl - Good Luck and Best wishes for your ongoing Healthy pregnancy. I appreciate your reply and advice for the soreness. It is now somewhat better after doing a massage with Heated towel pad.
After reading about benefits of Pineapple, I would also like to add few old wives tale from India.
In India, we are advised not to EAT Papaya, Eggplant, Hot Spices found in Curry - as these are warm kind of produce and can be the cause of miscarriage.
And we are advised to take - Buttermilk, Yogurt, Fennel seeds, Cardamom in moderation as they prevent inflammation in the body.
And Best wishes to everybody on this forum with their Pregnancy or IVF cycle.
Regards.

jdglak – I was just switched last week from IM progesterone to the vaginal gel (Crinone) after my first US when they observed a heartbeat. I had been doing the IM shots for almost a month and really had a rough time with them. We rotated sites, massaged, and used the heating pad, but nothing really seemed to help. I was very uncomfortable at night and at work had to tell folks I was having back problems to explain my slow motion moving and sitting! So really nothing seemed to help me but others have also said that walking around for while after the shot helps to disperse the injection quicker through the muscle. I did mine at night so really did not try this approach. If it gets worse I would discuss the possibility of the gel with your RE. There is some controversy as to whether this is as effective as the IM injection, but the studies I’ve pulled show they both work (I’m a clinical pharmacist and always look for evidence so that explains me pulling studies!). I hope you find a solution!
tmb- good to see you back – I hope you guys keep your spirits up through all of this and don’t give up!
Welcome babytoro! You will find a good support group here so keep reading and posting.
Babies4Us – I’ll keep my fingers and toes crossed for you after your recent transfer!
I know several of you have transfers coming up so I wish you the best this week! Hope everyone else who has had good news lately continues on that path!

amyb and toni-Congratulations on your growing little ones! I am so happy for you!
DLmiracle-That is great about the 12 follicles! I will be thinking of you. Keep the faith!
Welcome to the new mommy to be's on this site!
As for me, I haven't been on in a couple weeks due to recovering from my miscarriage. I would have been 11 weeks today, but my DL and I are keeping the faith and feel positive about our next pregnancy having a healthy baby. Our Rx is doing a Karyo type chromosome study on the prior fetus that never had a heartbeat to find out what was the cause. Has anyone had that?

Hello Ladies,
This is my first post and want some advice/help with the Soreness/Knot due to Progesterone shot. I am taking POI shots since last 9 days and this morning noticed that hard lump/knot has formed on the left side. Both sides were sore from last 3-4 days, but now it is really hurting and want to know what can be done. I do massage with Heated pad after the shot for 10 mins. I talked with the On call Doctor for my RE and he has advised that POI can be skipped for 1 night and wait for my RE to take a look at it. Please advise what can be done to relieve the soreness/pain.
Me - 38, DH - 41. 3 IUI - No Success.
1st IVF : D5 ET on 05/08. 2 Embryos Transferred. - 1st with a Grade of BBB and 2nd with a grade of DBB.

Hey ladies, just need a little moral support from you all!! I had my Day 5 transfer on Wednesday the 11th, they transferred 2 blastocysts!! I feel really good about this cycle (#3). Sometimes I just feel like what if it doesn't work again. I think this will be our last time and our last hope, so I really am trying to stay positive and eat lots of pineapple, haha. I haven't really had any cramping this time so I hope that everything is attaching happily.
Good luck to all that are cycling. Also to all those that are pregnant to have healthy pregnancies. Hope everyone else is doing well!

Toni - that's amazing numbers!!! keep up the good work. I'm glad you are finding the time to relax, I'm sure it helps.
babytoro - Welcomed, you will find this forum life saving!!! Evryone here is amazing, and very knowledgeable. The IVF journey is a very emotional one...Feel free to ask whatever questions you may have, as someone here almost sure would have experience it. Your meds sound just about right. Try to relax as much as you can. I wish you all the best in you journey. Many blessings to you.
As for me, I went for my ultrasound this morning (started my meds this past tuesday) and i have 12 follicles, 6 on each side. Very exciting!!!
Take care everyone and have a great rest of you weekend!!!!

Hello everybody,
Hope I am not invading anybodies space. Today is the first time I am in this. I am going to start my first IVF treatment June 3. I am kind of nervous about all of this. I wont even take Tylenol for a headache I just deal with it. Well I am 30 years old, married for almost 7 years, and desperate to have a kid. I have been trying since the day I got married. I just cant wait to see my hubby carrying baby that would be so wonderful to see being that he has a baby face himself. Well I imagine we all want that. Any advice?

Hello Sisters,
Qgirl-I take the Crinone and I rather take it than the shots. I take it at the exact same time each am and pm, I lay down for 1/2 an hour afterward just to allow as much to stay in as possible, but boy is it messy. TMI- last week I was sitting up and I sneezed hard I felt something strange trying to make it out, then I found a grey lump of stuff YUCK!!!! I had an appointment so I told the nurse and she informed me it was the residue from the gel. do not worry and use pantyliners.
DLMircle - I glad I was able to reach you, and we are all here for each other.
I hope everyone is having a good day, to start a great weekend, I went in for my 2nd Beta today and I jumped from 446 to 3051....... all I could say to my RN was WOW, are you sure I only have one??? I am so happy and enjoying each day as it comes, I am resting up a lot because of my past m/c 's 1 from my last IVF and then 2 m/c from pregnancies that occurred on my own.
I am in shock and enjoying being pregnant, today the nurse was talking about me to the clerk and she says "she is pregnant."... I wanted to look around to see who she was talking about. IT WAS ME!!!!!
I want you all to remember never give up, never feel like you do not deserve this moment , we all do. God will provide a way for us to get there.
How do you guys feel about transvaginal ultrasound, I am not wanting to do anymore of them, I am afraid of any issues happening.
Kisses to everyone else and waiting to hear more great news.
Love
Toni.

Just had my 1st US and it looks like there was a heartbeat – 122! Still in the gray zone until my 2nd one on the 23rd when they confirm continued growth, but I’m just taking it a step at a time.
Toni & Amyb – I’m so glad to hear the betas are progressing along nicely. Congrats!
PatientlyWaiting – I agree that the waits between US visits are just as trying as the 2ww! Glad to hear things look good for you at 8 weeks! Hope I have the same news on the 23rd!
Praying4AMiracle, Ind Girl, & DLMIRACLE – good luck with your upcoming transfers. I agree that relaxing is the best prescription. I did eat pineapple (can’t hurt right?) and also went with acupuncture since my RE recommended it. I also cut back significantly on my exercise. I’m a runner so this was very difficult. I’m still continuing with all these measures until I get through at least a few more weeks and feel more relaxed about the progression of the pregnancy.
btobe - 16weeks - yeah! We can all learn from your experiences since your further along!
My RE is switching me from shots to Crinone gel today. My rear end absolutely cannot take anymore. It’s been very painful and I’ve had to tell folks at work I have back problems so they don’t wonder why I move so slowly and have trouble sitting/standing. Anyone else use Cronone?
Best to all of you!

DLMiracle - 2ww will be kind of together, so maybe we can celebrate great news together.
Amyb - YAY!!!! Great news on the your numbers. Keep doing what you are doing. Im so happy for you.. Prayers will continue..
Toni - Thanks for your encouraging words. The pineapple, it may be an ole' wives tale, may not. Either way, It is something to give me hope, so Im eating tropical.. LOL...
As for me, I am going to relax my mind this weekend. Hoping the sun is not stingy. I want to relax with my ipod and a lawn chair. I had thought about accupuncture, but didn't do it, and so I figure I can relax by doing these type things this weekend, and mentally prepare myself for next weekends transfer.
Much Hope, Love, & Support

Good morning everyone. Congratulations to all the BFP's and I am very excited for all of my sisiters who are getting ready to start their IVF cycles. It is such an exciting, yet stressful time. Make sure that you are taking it easy the entire cycle time, and not just the 2WW. It is so important that your body be ready physically and mentally for your embies!!
AFM: I am almost 16 weeks along, and feeling pretty good. Still in shock that this is really happening for us!! Hopefully in a few weeks I can have another ultrasound and find out what we are having.
Baby dust and positive vibes to all!

Hello everyone,
Sorry I have been back I was really enjoying my Birthday and reflecting on my news. I go back on Friday for Beta #2 after 5 days I am curious to see where I am at.
The pineapple I do not know if it is a old wives tale but during both my transfers I did eat 2 slices n the am and 2 in the pm as a snack, with the core. I got a BFP both times. I also believe that we are so emotionally drained during the cycles that it helps to go on the bed rest for 3-5 days, where you are only sleeping eating and relaxing. I feel that allows time to help your embies implant.
I am waiting to read more good news from all my sisters. And please please never lose faith, never give up. We are really meant to love and be loved, and God will never let us down.
Love Toni

Hello and thanks again for all the well wishes. My beta made it up to 427 today, more than double from 2 days ago. Very good news. Get to go to progesterone 2x per week starting next week, that will be so nice, my hips are getting pretty sore. So hard to believe after 3 and a half years and never one positive test, that this finally could be a reality.
Good luck to all of you cycling, and yay for all of you already doing ultrasounds on little jellybeans, or bigger!

Hello everyone! Second ultra sound today and everything is moving along! Am now 8w5d. Thinking the time between ultra sounds is every bit as hard as the 2 week wait. And I go into each appointment very nervous... I'm still in a bit of denial that after 3 1/2 years this could be possible! Just have to keep breathing!
From what I've read about Pineapple it's the core that contains Bromelain, which is what is thought to aid in implantation. Not sure if this is a wives tail, but any little thing can help!
Congrats to all BFP's!
Keeping prayers for all that are cycling and trying!
(hugs to all)

Hello everyone. Sorry I went M.I.A. I took some down time while on BCP. Now I have started my meds, and preparing for my transfer on the 21st. I am currently taking estrace, climara patches, and baby aspirin. I start progesterone 3-4 days prior to transfer. I am anxious to do this. It will be our last attempt at a BFP... I sure hope it works out. I have decided to take the week after transfer off from work. I am going to mandate 4 days of nothing for myself. I feel that its "all in" on this try. It may seem overboard, but my heart tells me to do what I can to help the situation. So here's HOPING!!!!!!!
DLMiracle, thanks for asking about me. I'm doing well. Just taking one day at a time. Getting excited, but nervous all at once.
Amyb - when I read of your BFP. I teared up. I get excited for everyone, but maybe it's my feelings today. I am hoping for the best for you. (and everyone else of course)
It seems that May is going to be a busy one. Hopefully with lots of BFP. That would be great.
I am excited to hear of all the BFP. It is nice to get on here and read of these things... Much luck & well wishes for you all.
The PINEAPPLE. I have read on here that it is supposed to thicken your lining. Which is why I am going to eat tons. But I read someone say that its the core....
Anyone care to comment on this, so that we are clear of it.
Have a great day everyone.. The sun is shining here, and mid 80's.... Lake weather if you ask me. I'm SOOOOO ready!!!!!
Much Hope, Love, & Support

Wow congrats Toni, that is a really strong number! I had my second beta yesterday, 15dp3dt, and it was 165. So, not quite doubled from last time but they said to remain "cautiously optimistic." I have another blood draw tomorrow. As my DH says, "we are still in the game."
My husband is also really reserved about this, my poor mom is so excited and my husband keeps trying to settle her down. I think he is just protecting himself in case this does not stick. I am somewhere in between. The spotting stopped and the cramping is minimal and intermittent so that has made me feel better. We'll see what tomorrow brings.
As always good luck to everyone!

Congratulations Toni!! That’s wonderful news! Now just waiting to hear good news from Amyb. I posted my 2 positive beta results at the end of April and now I’m just waiting for the next milestone - the first US on Thursday. Sorry I dont check in very much I read the posts but after work most of the time I am just too exhausted to even type LOL but i certainly could not let the news from one of my long time sisters (Toni) go unnoticed. I am so excited for you awesome news. How many days post transfer are you? My first beta came in at almost 900 for 14dp3dt. So basically like 17dpo. I was sure I had multiples in there LOL but one just really healthy little girl. I heard girls have higher betas dont know how true it is but held true for us.

HELLO Sisters.
Well we got the news and I will be having a fantasic birthday tommorow, my Beta was 426!!!!!!!!!!!!
I go back on the 13th for the 2nd Beta and I am at a loss for words. I try not to think too far ahead and worry about the next step. I just want to enjoy the news and I will pray for continued blessings from GOD.
I wonder why the Beta is so high because we only transfered 1 snow baby. Maybe she/he split in two who knows, since we used DE we may have twins in the family. I am just overjoyed and I am beside myself.
Love and Blessings to everyone of you.

Thanks everyone for your well wishes. And thanks Toni, for the advice about taking the focus off the future and enjoying the experience, it is very good advice. YEAHHHHH YIPPY amyb. Enjoy each moment and do not focus on the next step so much that you miss the joy that you are feeling now.
I am home being pampered and I am loving it, DH is working out his fears, and making me feel so nice.
I go in at 9:45am for my BETA. As WannabeMommy says PUPO I am feeling such pressure and the girls are not at all friendly to even cold air. I have laid it all at God's feet and will let you all know as soon as I do.
Enjoy your Sunday everyone I remembered you all in prayer today.

Hello ladies. TMB and EM07 I am sorry for your bad news. It is amazing that all of us find the strength to move through all this heartache, but we do. And of course the good news is always great to hear. Best of luck to the others cycling as well.
I found out that my 3 fertilized eggs left in cultrue, after the other 4 were transferred, arrested development shortly after my transfer. That was very hard news to take although I know they chose the better quality ones to transfer. Just like last time, 11 days post transfer I feel physically very normal. No cramps, no breast tenderness, just still somewhat tired from it all. My beta is tomorrow and I have left the evening totally free so that we can process whatever news we get.
Peace, love and babydust to all!

HELLO WANNABEMOMMY!!!!!!
I am so happy to see you are moving forward as well and I am praying for you too!
I love your new mantra and I believe it is great.
I miss your words of wisdom and can not wait for June.
I am just getting off my bed rest, I know a lot of Dr's do not make it a must but, I feel that it is the best thing for my baby. Over the last several days I have had so much tugging and cramping, my breast are starting to get tender and nausea is beginning. I am also keeping up with the pineapple as well. My sweeeet DH has been sooo wonderful, but he is just worried as if he was carrying the baby himself. SO cute.
Snowie kiss the baby and spoil her as much as possible, she will be big in a blink of an eye.
Love Toni

Hi girls,
I haven't posted much in recent months but read daily and have been trying to keep up with everyone.
Snowie, congrats on your little girl! I am so happy for you and your hubby. I remember that you have boys at home so wonderful to be adding more "pink" to your life. Sounds like things are going well and I hope everything continues to do so for you.
Toni, Oh my goodness, I didn't realize that you were doing your FET! I am so excited for you and know you've been waiting a long time. Enjoy being PUPO and I hope, hope, hope your little embie settles in for a nice long 9 mos! Will be eagerly anticipating your beta.
Renee, Unfortunately, placenta previa is fairly common and seems to be even a bit more for twins. Try not to worry though as it usually does self correct. I started spotting slightly around 16 weeks with my twins and then by 20 weeks it was corrected as the babies moved higher up in the uterus. Do take it easy though. Rest on left side whenever you can (helps with circulation to the uterus & placentas) and drink as much water as you can stand to take in. Keep a close watch on things and don't hesitate to call your OB if you notice any changes or are concerned about anything. You can never be too careful so don't worry about "bothering" anyone. All that said, I am sure you'll do just great so try to relax if you can.
Lucky, congrats on your little girl. I am sure you are sleep deprived but loving every minute of it!
Lots of new names here as well....congrats to btobe, jez, and all of you "Mommy's to be" and best of luck to those of you who are currently cycling or in the 2WW.
We just finished signing all of our donor contracts and are starting to get excited. We will be traveling to our new RE's location for about 10 days in June for retrieval & transfer. We found an amazing, well proven donor so we are anticipating a very good cycle. Praying my body cooperates and we get our positive PG test! After 3.5 years of IVF, 6 cycles, OE & DE, and losing the twins so late in pregnancy, we are very much looking forward to some good news in 2011! My new mantra is "Let go and let God!" Please keep us in your prayers and trust I am doing the same for all of you!
Take care, everyone!

DLmiracle thanks for thinking of me. I always read the blog and keep up on everyone. I just don't always post. I am doing better. I am still on the high blood pressure meds until I go back for another post partum check up. I seem to be healing well with my stiches. Adjusting to being a mother has been a little hard. But a wonderful blessing she is. She is 7 weeks old and starting to sleep more and coo. The 1st few weeks were hard but we are getting use to being parents. To those of you having twins I wish you the best of luck and I hope you have lots of family to help you out after you deliver.
Congrats to all the BFPs enjoy your pregnancies and best of luck to you.
Sorry for those of you who have recently gotten bad news. Hang in there you are in my thoughts and prayers.
Wishing you all baby blessings!

Hello Sisters,
I have been reading the post and hello to all the sister on the board. I am sorry for all the sad news but elated for all the happy news.
Nwells- So happy to see you here as well as all the vets. I too am a very quite vet and I read but do not post much.
Snowie I am still so happy about my newest niece
AFM: I am on the 2ww and on my 3rd day of bed rest. I had my FET on 4/29 and now we wait and pray. I go back for my BETA 1 day before my Birthday. I still have two 5 day embies, Dr only put in 1 because he said the qualilty of my snow babies is so good. I just have to take a Baby Aspirin daily and be cautious, no real reason for the last m/c, except for stress at work and thinking that I was super women.
For those who do not know my story, I had a BFP back in Jan of 09 that ended in MC at 6 weeks, I lost my job and waited to save up enough for the next cycle.
During which I have had to organize and host 3 baby showers for close relatives, and welcome 4 new members to our family. But God is GREAT and I am now pregnant until proven otherwise.
Keeping you all in pray.
Love Toni.

Well, my DH and I went to our Rx today, and he said that the fetus looks the same size and that it looks like there is a blood clot. He recommended a D&C. I guess we have to give up hope on this one. He sd we could try again in 2-3 months. Now we have to tell the bad news to our family and friends. I am wishing now that we hadn't told so many people. We were so excited to finally have gotten a BFP that we told a lot of people, and our family told more etc.
Qgirl-Congrats! I will pray for you that things continue to go well for you!
ReneeC-I understand your fear, but it sounds like some positive feedback from a lot of others who had this and had successful pregnancies!
Chelltrying-Congrats on 16 weeks! I now know what you mean about fear after miscarriage, but you give me hope!
Jezdc7-Congrats on your twins! I'm glad things are going great for you!

Jezdc7, ReneeC and Chell-congrats on your baby news and best wishes
My beta on Friday was BFN, though I kind of figured with with 2 POAS's being neg the two days prior. We have one frozen embie (fair quality is how the nurse described it) so we will be taking one badly needed month off. No drugs, no shots, no appts and then start our 2nd IVF cycle in June. Thanks for the words of encouragement and the sharing of stories and experiences, this is such a helpful place, even just to read what others are going through.
Baby dust to all cycling and TTC!
